Wire rod and rebar prices in most regions of China witnessed an upward trend in November mainly supported by higher raw material prices and the price increase in futures market. In addition, Chinese export prices of wire rod and rebar went up during the month because of the price increase in domestic market and RMB appreciation.
In the international market, prices of wire rod and rebar in Malaysia and India moved up during the month due to high raw material prices and the price increase of steel mills, while those in Thailand and Vietnam dropped on weak demand.
