The domestic section steel and steel pipe market performance improved a little during the month, but remained far from satisfactory. The demand from downstream industries showed signs of recovering late this month with more and more projects starting operation. Meanwhile, the series of stimulant policies on the property market strengthened the confidence of market participants to some degree. However, end users strictly purchased from hand to mouth and refused to build stocks, with wait-and-see attitudes. Prices of raw materials fluctuated at the high level, stimulating steel mills and traders to lift prices of finished steel.
