1. Market Highlights
Most magnesite suppliers increased their prices slightly this month as a part of mine shut down.
Most caustic calcined magnesia producers increased their prices this month in view of increasing energy cost; most exporters of caustic calcined magnesia 90%min 200 mesh increased their prices following with increasing domestic prices.
Most producers of dead burned magnesia producers increased their prices this month due to increasing prices in coal in spite of dim market; the export prices of Chinese dead burned magnesia increased due to increasing domestic prices; given the increasing prices of domestic prices, the international prices of dead burned magnesia wend up as well.
Discouraged by dim market, most fused magnesia suppliers lower their prices this month, many of them held low operation rates due to sluggish deals; the mainstream export prices of the products above followed the trends of domestic prices in this month. Most European clients ended summer break at the end of August.
