1. Market Highlights
Most magnesite suppliers decreased their prices slightly this month as many downstream clients purchased inactively.
Most caustic calcined magnesia producers decreased their prices this month in view of weak demand; most exporters of caustic calcined magnesia 90%min 200 mesh decreased their prices following with falling domestic prices.
Most producers of dead burned magnesia producers lower their prices this month discouraged by weak demand, many of them had to decline the prices to protect inventories from increasing further; the export prices of Chinese dead burned magnesia dropped due to decreasing domestic prices; given the decreasing prices of domestic prices, the international prices of dead burned magnesia wend down as well. The overseas demand still remained soft, but Indian market saw active purchases.
Discouraged by dim market, most fused magnesia suppliers lower their prices this month, many of them held low operation rates due to sluggish deals; the mainstream export prices of the products above followed the trends of domestic prices in this month.
