Chinese stainless steel prices saw different trends during this month. Prices of 304 grade stainless HRC and CRC, 201 grade stainless HRC and CRC, 300 series stainless steel bar and 304 grade stainless seamless pipe in major markets of China moved down further during the month on soft demand from downstream industries, while those of 430 grade stainless CRC went up further mainly supported by the increase in steel mills' EXW prices. Many customers still purchased materials sparingly because of insufficient orders and refused to build large stockpiles.
