In domestic market, given weak demand, downstream consumers expect that the prices to go down, but producers intend to keep the prices firm. Therefore, the prices went up a bit after holiday, and remained stable in the 2nd half. For chemical grade silicon metal, producers intend to lift the prices, but consumers reluctant to accept due to weak demand of downstream market. In export market, export prices remained stable in favor of depreciation of RMB against USD, but prices went down in late October as some traders intended to dump some stocks.
