Prices of antimony products stopped from declining in the Chinese market in September 2022 and rebounded slightly overall; deals in the market were more active during the month than August 2022 as downstream consumers refilled stocks before the National Day holiday; restricted by tight supply of raw material on the whole, suppliers of antimony products tried to keep their prices firm. Specifically speaking, mainstream prices of antimony concentrate 50%min went up slightly to RMB65,000/t (USD9,063/t) in the domestic market in September, but there were few spot quotations for the material owing to insufficient supply . Mainstream prices of antimony ingot 99 . 85%min and 99.65%min stayed firm at RMB79,000/t (USD11,015/t) and over RMB78,000/t (USD10,876/t) respectively due to tight supply for the material caused by the facts that producers still kept low operating rates of the material owing to inadequate supply of raw material and some consumers started small volumes of purchases . Boosted by firm prices of antimony ingot, antimony trioxide suppliers kept their quotations firm, but some of them made concessions in prices to win more orders, resulting in fierce competition in the antimony trioxide market. The domestic ethylene glycol antimony market continued to see soft demand on the whole as consumers still kept purchasing in accordance with orders against the backdrop of sufficient supply for the material and limited orders for their own products; mainstream prices of Chinese ethylene glycol antimony edged down to RMB56,000-57,000/t (USD7,808-7,949/t). As for the international market, as the exchange rate of USD rose sharply, export prices of antimony products kept dropping with export prices of antimony trioxide and antimony ingot declining from USD10,400/t and USD12,600/t to USD9,900/t and USD11,900/t respectively; restricted by energy crisis, the international antimony ingot market saw sluggish demand and inactive deals.
