1. Market Highlights
Antimony prices fluctuated up in June in China. With the epidemic control policy loosening, downstream plants began to add raw material stocks for production resumption, so the antimony trioxide and antimony ingot markets saw more demand and deals in early June, which pushed prices up. In addition, due to tight supply in China and limited imports from overseas market, the prices of antimony concentrate 50%min in Chinese market edged up to RMB68,000/t (USD10,078/t) delivered D/P; and antimony ingot 99.85%min prices also rose to RMB82,000/t (USD12,152/t) with some at RMB83,000/t (USD12,301/t). Chinese antimony trioxide prices moved up supported by higher antimony ingot prices and more deals from consumers. The prices of ethylene glycol antimony edged up with raw material prices rising, but downstream consumers only purchased from hand to mouth.
On the international market, prices of antimony products increased slightly encouraged by the price rises in China. Overseas buyers added stocks before summer break, bringing more deals, but the spot supply was still tight.
