1 Market Highlights
In March, prices of tin ingot soared and then fell. Tin ingot producers were optimistic about the market outlook and held back from selling, and downstream consumers kept cautious in building stocks.
In mid-to-early March, due to the environmental protection policy during the two sessions, dressing plants stopped production and reduced production, with the insufficient output of tin concentrate, and TCs of tin concentrate remained firm. A small volume of imported tin concentrate could pass land ports in late March, but market deals showed sparse.
In mid-to-early March, the market demand for tin solder began to pick up, but as the price of tin ingot was at a historically high level, the price of tin solder also rose along with it, and downstream consumers only purchased upon orders and had no willingness to stock up.
