    1 Market Highlights
    1.1 Prebaked anode

Chinese prebaked anode prices continued moving up in March, as both pet coke and CPC prices jumped. The purchase demand for prebaked anode improved in southwest China, where many aluminum smelters increased production.

    1.2 Pet coke

Prices of pet coke in China jumped in March as the supply reduced and the demand increased after prebaked anode producers restarted operation.

    1.3 Graphite electrode

Graphite electrode prices in China moved up in March, supported by the increased pet coke and needle coke prices. In addition, many producers in north China cut production for the COVID-19 lockdown.

    1.4 CPC

For the reduced supply and firm pet coke prices, Chinese CPC prices went up in March and sales kept active.

    1.5 Coal tar pitch

In March, prices of coal tar pitch climbed and deals recovered after prebaked anode producers restarted operation.
