    1 Market Highlights
    1.1 Prebaked anode

    In February, Chinese prebaked anode prices moved up, supported by the increased pet coke prices. Many producers cut production for the upgraded environmental protection rule during the Winter Olympics.

    1.2 Pet coke

    Pet coke prices in China went up in February, as many producers cut production and the crude oil prices jumped.

    1.3 Graphite electrode

    Prices of graphite electrode in China climbed in February, as many producers in north China cut production and the pet coke and needle coke prices rose.

    1.4 CPC

    Many CPC producers in north China cut production in February, leading to short supply. Prices moved up.

    1.5 Coal tar pitch

    In February, coal tar pitch prices in China slipped as producers in Henan restarted operation and the demand weakened.
