    1. Market Highlights

Chinese antimony prices edged up in November. Traders held limited stocks and plants intended to hold prices firm due to tight raw material supply; meanwhile, as end consumers had poor demand and the flame-retardant and polyester industries saw weak demand, consumers purchased cautiously with no intention to build stocks, and thus antimony prices lacked the upward movement.

In the international market, overseas buyers had no interest in purchasing raw material since the prices stood high and most just bought from hand to mouth, leaving limited deals on the spot market. Antimony product prices declined in the international market in November, however, suppliers planned to keep prices firm considering supply shortage caused by tight storage at international ports, so the prices had little room to decrease.
