Chinese stainless steel prices witnessed different trends during this month. Prices of 304 grade stainless HRC, 201 grade stainless CRC and HRC, 300 series stainless steel bar and 304 grade stainless seamless pipe in major markets of China kept the upward trend during this month mainly supported by the increase in steel mills' EXW prices, while those of 304 grade stainless CRC and 430 grade stainless CRC saw a downward trend due to customers' slow buying activities. Customers mostly held a wait-and-see attitude and placed orders sparingly, so the market sales performance did not become better.
