1. Market Highlights
Prices of section steel and steel pipe went down in major Chinese domestic markets during the month. Discouraged by the continuous price decline in the steel futures market late this month, both steel mills and traders showed little confidence in the market prospect and were eager to conclude deals. The demand from downstream industries remained insufficient. Besides, end users kept cautious about purchasing seeing the downward price trend, waiting for the further price decline.
