In domestic market, the prices started weakening in the middle of March, and soon started decreasing, because producers realized increasing spot stocks and weaker sales. For chemical grade silicon metal, the prices remained relatively stable throughout the whole month. In export market, as exporters expected decreasing prices from upstream suppliers, they lowered quotations significantly.
