In domestic market, the prices remained flat with incoming Chinese Spring Festival, and the market stayed inactive. The prices surged after coming back from holiday due to limited spot stocks and collective procurement. For chemical grade silicon metal, the prices kept weak before holiday due to scarce deals, but increased a bit after holiday with the support from metallurgical silicon metal. In export market, the prices remained flat in the 1st week before holiday, and went up as producers lifted the prices massively. Clients purchased due to urgent demand while others watched the market.
