In domestic market, the prices remained firm in the 1st half of August, and increased slightly as upstream producers lifted the prices. For chemical grade silicon metal, the prices went up evidently as two of three major regions for production of chemical grade silicon metal were affected by pandemic and severe flood respectively. In export market, the export prices increased hugely as USD went down hugely against RMB.
