As a result, prices for manganese alloys went up accordingly . As manganese flake can be used as a substitute of high-silicon silicomanganese, MC ferromanganese and LC ferromanganese, most market players believed that demand for manganese flake from Chinese steel mills would increase . Chinese producers also raised offers . Besides, Tianyuan Manganese tried to stabilize the market by releasing the news of cutting production and purchasing spot material in South China, which further consumed the spot supply in South China . Most producers in South China held low stocks and had confidence in keeping prices stable . Comprehensively speaking, mainstream prices for Chinese manganese flake edged up this month.
In terms of export, demand from overseas customers was weak due to continuous spread of COVID-19. Export traders raised offers gradually with increasing prices in Chinese manganese flake market, but closed limited deals.

India, Brazil and Southeastern countries were in lockdown and made few purchases .
