    Market Highlights

In March, major lithium chemical producers in China basically resumed production; but as cathode material producers made limited sales, they purchased raw maternal lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide only in small quantities. Prices for battery grade lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide both dropped.

On the power auto market, affected by the COVID-19, NEV sales in China dropped notably; battery producers were still resuming operating rates and purchased LNCMO only in small quantities. Further affected by notably dropping prices for cobalt sulfate, LNCMO prices moved down.

The 3C electronics market saw sluggish end consumption, so battery plants were inactive in purchasing LCO; further affected by dropping prices for cobalt tetroxide, LCO p;rices decreased.

On the lithium metal market, downstream clients held low operating rates and therefore were inactive in purchasing lithium metal; further affected by decreasing prices for lithium carbonate and lithium chloride, lithium metal prices dropped.
