Prices of both non-grain oriented electrical steel and grain oriented electrical steel in major markets of China were generally stable during this month. Mainstream steel mills such as Baosteel, WISCO and Ansteel all announced to maintain their list prices of NGO electrical steel produced in March unchanged. Because of the coronavirus outbreak, all market participants could not restart to work as previously planned. Traders kept their prices unchanged in general compared with those before the Spring Festival holiday and there were few deals concluded as downstream customers did not resume the regular production.
