Market Highlights
With the Spring Festival holiday approaching, most cathode material producers finished restocking raw material lithium carbonate for the holiday, leading to limited transactions and decreasing prices on the lithium carbonate market.
The 3C market was in the off season and most battery producers finished restocking LCO in late December; but underpinned by rising cobalt prices, LCO prices edged up in December.
On the power car market, most power battery producers suspended operation for the Spring Festival holiday in advance, leading to rare transactions on the LNCMO market; but underpinned by rising cobalt sulfate prices, LNCMO prices followed suit.
Demand for lithium metal was weak as downstream consumers were inactive in purchasing the material; further affected by dropping prices for raw material lithium carbonate and lithium chloride, lithium metal prices moved down.
