From early January, downstream consumers started preparing upcoming Spring Festival holiday, so the prices were almost stable in domestic market. With the balanced demand and supply, Chinese chemical grade silicon metal prices were also stable. In export market, the exchange rate of CNY against USD decreased massively, which affected the export business of Chinese silicon metal traders. Therefore, the export prices went up hugely to avoid from potential losses.
