1. Market Highlights
In September, the international market saw weak demand due to holiday and prices edged down. In Chinese market, raw material molybdenum concentrate prices dropped. Ferromolybdenum prices moved down as downstream steel mills forced bidding prices down and raw material prices slid. Due to the decline of molybdenum concentrate prices, molybdenum oxide prices went down. Downstream transactions in molybdenum deep-processing industry were limited and molybdenum powder prices kept flat. Prices for molybdenum concentrate saw sharp increase. In light of weak demand, prices for ammonium tetramolybdate edged down; prices for ammonium heptamolybdate were weakly stable; prices for sodium molybdate were steady; prices for molybdenum powder, molybdenum bar, molybdenum wire and molybdenum rod were flat.
