1. Market Highlights
Chinese tantalum concentrate import prices continued to increase in September. As a result, Chinese tantalum oxide and metal prices increased accordingly. As the niobium concentrate import prices decreased, the niobium oxide and Chinese ferroniobium prices decreased further. The imported ferroniobium prices increased due to the firm import costs.
As many consumers came back to the market and made purchases, European tantalite and ferroniobium market prices increased. Dampened by the soft demand from end users, the American tantalum metal prices decreased further in September.
