As Fanya auctioned 34.64t of its indium ingot 99.99%min at RMB1,080/kg (USD156/kg) in April, insiders were pessimistic about the market outlook as they worried the company would continue to auction the material in May. As a result, mainstream prices for the material kept dropping, and have been the lowest in the past five years by the end of May. The market saw inactive transactions, with both suppliers and consumers waiting on the sidelines. As Fanya did not auction its stocks, insiders predicted that mainstream prices for Chinese indium ingot 99.99%min would edge up in June.
