1. Market Highlights
Prices for steel plate rebounded obviously in major Chinese domestic markets boosted by nationwide price increases of raw materials such as iron ore and steel billet. Besides, the market performance showed signs of warming up in the first three weeks following the spirally upward price trend, but it turned to be unsatisfactory again late of the month dragged by the decreasing price signal. In the meantime, prices for steel plate decreased slightly in other Asian markets during the month. Considering the downstream demand remains insufficient, insiders think that the price for steel plate may fail to keep going up next month.
