1. Market Highlights
Generally speaking, the domestic steel pipe market performance during the month was better than that of last month, though it was far from satisfactory. Prices ran on different trends. Reporting limited sales volumes, trades were not so confident of the market prospect, but they were reluctant to move down prices obviously seeing high purchasing costs. In the meantime, purchasing activities from end users showed signs of improving from the middle of the month since they could get the 16% VAT invoices if purchasing before the end of the March. Prices for steel pipe rose slightly in other Asian markets during the month. Considering the overall inventory remains low, insiders foresee a slight price rise in April.
