Prices of stainless steel flat products and stainless steel pipe saw a downward trend during this month due to weak customer demand and the decrease in steel mills' list prices, while those of stainless steel bar went up further mainly supported by the high purchase cost. Nevertheless, as demand from downstream customers remained weak, the market sales performance was still unsatisfying. Traders were not confident of the market outlook and refused to build large stockpiles. Considering the tax reduction and weak customer demand, insiders think stainless steel prices would go down in April.
