Generally speaking, ferrochrome prices increased in February. Supported by increasing prices of stainless steel and chrome ore both at Chinese ports and overseas, ferrochrome prices in February moved up amid renewed demand after the Spring Festival holiday. Insiders believe the prices of ferrochrome would continue to move upward in the forthcoming month.
European and America HC ferrochrome prices edged up in February with less cheap materials and relatively increasing liquidity, while LC ferrochrome prices kept sliding amid low demand this month.
Chrome ore prices at Chinese ports went up this month. As ferrochrome prices increased supported by stainless steel market, chrome ore traders at Chinese ports showed strong willingness to move up their prices in February.
