1. Market Highlights
Prices of wire rod and rebar in Chinese leading markets continued to drop fast in November, discouraged by shrank demand and participants' pessimism for the coming market seeing relaxed measures on production restriction. The price decline slowed down at the end of the month. However, the demand from downstream industries will keep shrinking in December, when traders and consumers will face much pressure from capital flow. In the international market, export prices of wire rod and rebar from China fell sharply and those in Asian countries followed suit. Taking all factors into consideration, insiders predict that in December prices of wire rod and rebar in Chinese market will go down further with limited range.
