1. Market Highlights
The domestic section steel market continued to run slowly both at home and abroad during the month dragged by the weak demand from construction projects, and prices did not change obviously. Both traders and customers were not so confident of the market prospect and cautious about supplementing inventories, with wait-and-see attitudes. Meanwhile, prices for raw materials such as iron ore and steel billet kept rising, restraining prices for section steel from dropping sharply under the dim market. In addition, most mills were producing actively boosted by considerable profits, and the supply for section steel did not reduce. Considering the downstream demand is hard to get stronger with the weather getting colder day by day, insiders think that the price for section steel is likely to go down nationwide in November.
