1. Market Highlights
During October, as most downstream consumers of Chinese gallium metal 99.99%min focused on making shipments for their long-term orders and consumed raw material inventory, the spot gallium metal market saw inactive enquires and transactions. Therefore, mainstream prices for Chinese gallium metal 99.99%min began to move down slowly after the National Day holiday, recording a monthly decline of RMB30/t (USD4.35/t). Some producers voluntarily cut their quotations under the inventory and capital pressure, but they still found it hard to make sales. As inventory and capital pressure had not been effectively alleviated by the end of the month, it was expected that prices for gallium metal 99.99%min would continue to drop in November.
