1. Market Highlights
Prices for Chinese germanium metal 99.99%min moved down again in July with the decreasing range of RMB400/kg (USD58.21/kg), which was mainly caused by the soft downstream demand. During the month, mainstream prices for Chinese germanium metal 99.99%min declined to RMB9,200-9,600/kg (USD1,339-1,397/kg), down by 4.26%. Owing to depreciation of yuan, FOB prices for Chinese germanium metal 99.99%min decreased rapidly with the slowly running market during the summer vacation in Europe in July.
