Chinese stainless steel prices saw different trends during this month. Prices of stainless steel flat products and stainless steel pipe went up this month mainly supported by increase in steel mills' list prices, while those of stainless steel bar witnessed a downward trend on weak customer demand. As it was the traditionally low season, customers without urgent need for materials were still placing orders sparingly and the market sales performance continued to be bad. Traders were not confident of the market outlook and refused to build large stockpiles. Insiders think the market will keep quiet in the coming month.
