Chinese stainless steel prices witnessed a downward trend during this month because of weak customer demand and decrease in steel mills' list prices. As it was the traditionally low season, customers without urgent need for materials were just taking a cautious attitude and placing orders sparingly. Having no confidence in the market outlook, traders were reluctant to build large stockpiles and the market inventory kept low. Insiders do not expect the market to improve in the coming month.
