1. Market Highlights
Generally speaking, the domestic steel pipe market performance in June was worse than that of last month. On the one hand, the rigid demand shrank obviously with the approach of the off-season, while on the other hand, frequent prices changes in the steel futures market as well as the unpromising macro economy environment heightened downstream customers' cautious attitudes and they were inactive in placing orders. Reporting limited sales volumes, traders also showed little optimism towards the market outlook and refused to build large inventories. Considering the supply from mills keep increasing, insiders think that prices for steel pipe may go down nationwide in July.
