1. Market Highlights
Supported by the central government's environmental protection supervision in many regions of China, wire rod and rebar market showed some improvement with prices moving up in the first half of June. However, negatively influenced by the trade dispute between China and America, prices of wire rod and rebar fell back in the second half of the month. Generally speaking, prices did not show big changes in June and the situation is likely to continue in July when stocks decreased to relatively low levels and demand from downstream industry will remain weak. Taking all factors into consideration, insiders suppose prices of wire rod and rebar will continue to come down a little bit in the coming month.
