1. Market Highlights
The Chinese Rare Earth Market moved up sharply in early March due to increasing production costs and tight supply of rare earth concentrate. However, as most consumers held sufficient stocks for the month after Spring Festival holiday, Chinese PrNd, dysprosium, terbium, gadolinium and holimium products' prices hit the top on March 10, and showed downtrend in later half March. The lanthanum, cerium and europium products were still oversupplied and suppliers had to accept lower prices to obtain cash flow in late March. The yttrium products prices flattened out this month but still showed downtrend. The separation plants maintained with relatively high operation rate this March, and suppliers took chances to sell some dysprosium oxide 99.5%min when the price stood at relatively high level in March. The market deals were active in early March and became quiet in latter half of this month.
