1. Market Highlights
Prices of CRC and HGI coil in China tended to stabilize in the week before and after the Chinese New Year holiday in February, with little buying activity from downstream consumers. Prices were pulled up in the end of the month, supported by the favorable news that the government in some regions of North China will continue to limit steel production in 2018. However, dragged by the unreleased demand from downstream consumers and high stocks after the holiday, prices showed some signs of falling back later. Taking all factors into consideration, insiders predict that prices of CRC and HGI coil are likely to come down slightly in March.
