Prices of stainless steel flat products in major markets of China saw a downward trend during this month on weak customer demand and decrease in steel mills' list prices, while those of stainless steel long products were generally stable. Customers left the market for the Spring Festival holiday and the market sales performance continued to be bad. Having no confidence in the market outlook, traders were reluctant to build large stockpiles and the market inventory kept low. Insiders do not expect the market to improve in the coming month.
