1. Market Highlights
In December, in domestic market, the mainstream prices for Chinese zircon sands, zirconium fused zirconias and zirconium sponges all lifted due to tight supply or raw materials' increased prices. However, the dominating prices of Chinese zirconium oxychlorides and zirconium carbonates went down continuously affected by increasing supply or raw materials'reduced prices. Chinese zirconium silicate prices remained flat with quite slow transactions.
As for overseas market, Australian and South African zircon sands' import prices kept stable this month with slow delivery. Iluka and RBM announced to keep zircon sand prices stable in Q1 2018, while Tronox would increase prices by USD125/t at least in H1 2018. Indonesian zircon sand prices went up slightly and would keep on climbing in the coming one month.
