Prices of stainless steel flat products and stainless steel pipe in major markets of China saw an upward trend during this month mainly supported by higher raw material costs and increase in steel mills' list prices, while those of stainless steel bar were generally stable. However, the market sales performance continued to be bad as demand from customers did not become better amid the low season. Having no confidence in the market outlook, traders were reluctant to build large stockpiles and the market inventory remained low. Insiders think the market will keep quiet in the coming month.
