1. Market Highlights
Chinese market: Chinese antimony market saw slightly decreased prices and limited transactions in October. As the imports of antimony concentrate increased and some holders bore great capital pressure, they reduced prices for the material to close more deals; With pressure from both upstream and downstream markets, prices for raw material decreased and the end demand was weak, so prices for antimony ingot dropped further; the end consumers produced at restricted rate due to tight supply of ammonium bicarbonate, so the antimony trioxide market saw limited deals.
Export market: Overseas consumers made scarce enquiries and forced prices down seriously, so exporters reduced prices appropriately to close more deals. In late this month, however, exporters stabilized their offers affected by exchange rate and deals unable to be closed by lower prices and watched the market temporally, leading to sporadic transactions in the spot market.
