Prices of non-grain oriented electrical steel in major markets of China went down further during this month on weak customer demand, while those of grain oriented electrical steel were generally stable
. Domestic steel mills such as Baosteel and WISCO announced to keep their list prices stable for November production . Expecting the price to drop further, customers without urgent need for materials were still holding a wait-and-see attitude and refusing to place orders . Because of the high purchase cost and weak customer demand, traders were reluctant to order new materials with steel mills and the market inventory remained low . Insiders do not think the market will recover in the coming month.
