1 Monthly highlights
This September was the most active month in 2017 for the Chinese molybdenum market as its transaction prices and volumes both increased. Prices for primary molybdenum products such as molybdenum concentrate, molybdenum oxide and ferromolybdenum fell into a deadlock after falling back from the yearly highest level in late August. Prices for molybdenum chemicals such as ammonium molybdate and sodium molybdate followed the upward movement in raw material prices to move up on the whole; and with the slack season coming to an end, transactions in the market also picked up gradually. Prices for molybdenum products such as powder, rod, wire and bar moved up and players were active in concluding transactions.
