In August, Chinese electrolytic manganese prices fluctuated sharply and rebounded to about RMB11,000/t (USD1,697/t) from early the month, which however turned to the downward trend then due to sever market supply surplus and rebounded again after hitting the bottom for short time in late the month. As for the export market, deals were quite active and prices also changed following the trend in the Chinese domestic market. In September, Chinese electrolytic manganese prices will remain firm in early the month and weak in mid-September, which may rise in the second half of the month.
