Prices for steel plate continued to go up sharply early of the month, but kept fluctuating and even showed signs of falling back in the last two weeks of the month. Meanwhile, the general market performance was less satisfactory than that in July since frequent prices changes heightened downstream customers’ cautious attitudes. Besides, restrict environmental protection policies forced lots of machinery manufactures to halt production, and the rigid demand was weak. Considering prices for raw materials are likely to go up further in September-October due to short supply, insides foresee another price rise of steel plate next month.
