The Chinese germanium metal 99.99%min market ran steadily on the whole in July, with mainstream transaction prices generally at RMB7,200-7,500/kg (USD1,074-1,119/kg) in H1 of the month; In H2 of July, raw material supply was tight due to strengthened environmental protection policies, germanium metal producers in North China generally reduce output in summer and large-scale plants keep the output at low level with no plan to raise output further, which led to limited overall output of germanium metal and decreasing stocks; producers intended to lift prices with stable demand.
