In early-to-mid June, prices for silicon metal only fluctuated slightly as supply for the material didn’t increase significantly. With silicon metal plants in South China successively resuming production, prices for silicon metal 5-5-3 began to edge down starting from late June, while those for oxygen blown low grade silicon metal 5-5-1 and 5-5-3 rose and kept firm continuously due to tight supply. Prices for other silicon metals barely changed and downstream consumers made purchases based on demand.
