Prices of non-grain oriented electrical steel in major markets of China witnessed an upward trend during this month supported by the low market inventory, and those of grain oriented electrical steel were generally stable. It was the traditionally low season and demand from downstream customers continued to be weak. Traders were not optimistic about the market outlook and refused to build large stockpiles. Insiders think the market will continue to be quiet in the coming month.
